‘The regime’s long-standing strategy of exporting instability rather than importing it has most likely come to an end.’

Addition:  Where is Obama on this?  An intervention would fit into the new world order, liberal internationalist, “agresssive humanitarian” doctrine if it gets bloody enough, like Libya.  Of course, like domestic policy, this requires a set of ideals to be purused through a central authority (In this case likely through Europe, the UN, the Arab League).   Whether or not this is the  best way to secure our interests is up for debate.
